Some ingredients simply destroy or interfere with the melanin making process but unfortunately some interfere with other even more important cellular processes. The most powerful stand-alone “lighteners” fall into these two categories of dangerous compounds. A way around this is by combining weaker, but safer compounds through “molecular stacking” - like interlocking toy blocks - in which totally different compounds with similar chemistries of anti-melanogenesis work synergistically to solve the problem.

The Discolouration Bar employs this logic by assembling chemically unrelated, stand-alone lighteners into a “cocktail”. The results are as powerful as can be expected when working within the narrow constraints of a cleansing system. Cleansing Bars and surfactants, no matter how mild, are not intended to be left on the skin for long periods of time. The Discolouration Bar contains Kojic Natural Acid that inhibits melanogenesis by separating Tyrosine and Tyrosinase, Azelaic Acid which has shown to be very effective in the treatment of pigmentation and Niacinamide, a vaso-dilator that increases the skin’s resistance to phot-ageing and increases the synthesis of Collagen and Elastin.When applied for a few seconds daily, this product will help slow down the melanin process and lighten the skin over a period of time.
